1. Who this applies to
This policy covers anyone who visits our website at infotech-next.vercel.app, contacts us via WhatsApp, phone, email, or in person, or otherwise shares information with Infotech Systems and Solutions in Dombivli East, Maharashtra.
We are a small computer shop — not a technology platform. The information we handle stays with us. We don't sell it, rent it, or share it with advertisers. Ever.
2. What we collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with us:
- When you message us (WhatsApp, email, contact form): your name, phone number or email, and the contents of your message. If you send photos of a device that needs service, we keep those.
- When you become a customer (purchase, repair, installation): your name, contact details, the items or services involved, payment details (we don't store card numbers — the bank does), and a GST billing name if you ask for one.
- When you visit our website: basic anonymized hosting logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) that our hosting provider Vercel collects for security and reliability purposes.
- When you use the AI assistant (coming in a future release): the contents of your chat will be saved so we can improve the assistant and follow up on your questions. We'll update this policy with full details before that feature launches.
3. Why we collect it
We collect only what we need to:
- Reply to your inquiries and quote your repairs accurately
- Fulfill orders, schedule installations, and track warranty claims
- Issue invoices and comply with GST and other tax laws
- Improve our service based on feedback and common questions
- Keep the website secure and operational
We don't use your information for any other purpose without telling you first.
4. Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't pass it to other businesses for marketing purposes.
The only situations where your information leaves us:
- Service providers we use to run the business — our hosting provider (Vercel), database provider (Supabase), email provider (Resend). These are standard infrastructure providers; they don't see your data for any purpose other than keeping our services running.
- Payment processors — if you pay by card or UPI, the bank or payment app handles your payment details directly. We only see that a transaction was completed.
- Legal requirements — if law enforcement makes a valid legal request, we may have to share information. We will only share what is specifically requested and lawful.
5. How long we keep it
Different types of information have different lifespans:
- General inquiries (WhatsApp/email messages that didn't lead to a purchase): kept for 12 months, then deleted.
- Customer records (purchases, repairs, installations): kept indefinitely so we can honor warranties, recall details for future service, and comply with tax record-keeping requirements.
- Invoices and tax records: kept for at least 8 years per Indian GST rules.
- Website logs: typically purged by our hosting provider within 30–90 days.
You can ask us to delete your data at any time — see section 7 below.
6. Cookies and analytics
Our website currently uses minimal cookies: one to remember your light/dark theme preference, and standard cookies our hosting provider uses for basic operation and security.
We do not currently use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking. If we add analytics in the future, we'll update this policy and use a privacy-respecting alternative.
7. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- Ask what data we have about you
- Ask us to correct anything that's wrong
- Ask us to delete your data (subject to tax-law retention requirements)
- Withdraw consent for us to use your data for any non-essential purpose
We'll respond to any such request within 30 days. If we can't honor a request fully (for example, we're legally required to keep invoice records), we'll explain why and what we can do.
8. Contact us about your data
The simplest way to ask anything about your data is to message us directly. We'll respond personally — not via a form letter.
9. Changes to this policy
When we make material changes to this policy — for example, when we launch the AI assistant or add new features — we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For substantial changes, we'll also mention it on the home page for a reasonable period.
